Yoga & Pilates, the best combination for Physical Wellbeing

Yoga classes can range from gentle and nourishing flow to challenging and sweaty poses. Yoga can help increase strength and flexibility through muscles and joints, in which you hold the postures for longer, you begin to work on stretching and moving the fascia which is the deeper connective tissue around the muscles and joints, & ultimately will help with spine and muscles’ lengthening and flexibility. Whereas, in active, fast-paced power Yoga flow, you are likely to build a lot of heat in the body which has a great regenerative effect and, of course, will burn calories. Moreover, Yoga incorporates elements of philosophy, science & an ethical way of living to changing lifestyle.

Pilates develop core strength and balance. It is a disciplined practice that requires small movements focusing on various areas of the body, gaining an added benefits of muscle toning, overall strength, body control and posture, and flexibility.

When practiced regularly, Yoga and Pilates are both ideal exercises for giving our body different ways of focus on our muscles and thus gaining a well-rounded benefit to achieve an integrated health management system using breath, movements and meditation to unite mind, body and spirit. Given that many of the poses in Yoga and exercises in Pilates involve supporting the bodyweight, they also work various muscles all over the body parts bringing balance, strength and stability.
